Precious Blood church (L'Eglise du Precieux Sang) at Carrington and Park Avenues. First "French" Catholic church
in Woonsocket. Founded in 1873. First services for French Canadians who belonged to St. Charles parish were held
in Edward Harris' warehouse on North Main Street. Church was dedicated on July 17, 1881. Half-built in 1875, severe
gale destroyed it in 1876 necessitating reconstruction.
